Walking and cycling

In order to meet net zero requirements, Royal Albert Dock is designed to be completely walkable. Additionally, several bike hire schemes and bike racks will be provided in order to encourage cycling.

Integration with the rest of the area

Cycle lanes are shown in red and are designed to connect Royal Albert Docks with the Central & Gobbins offices (the historical buildings), the DLR station at Beckton Park and the rest of the development by following the riverside walk, and the walk next to the bypass. In addition, the cycle lanes will connect Royal Albert Dock with the rest of East London.

More details on how connections with the rest of East London will look like can be found here.
