Social infrastructure
Affordable housing
This development will create a variety of new 1 and 2 bedroom affordable flats in mixed-use buildings. For more information about affordable housing, click here.
Walking, cycling and public transport
New walking, cycling routes, as well as improved public transport (such as diverting the 376 bus route via the development), will ensure that the Royal Albert Dock is fully and easily connected with not just the rest of the London borough of Newnham, but also the rest of London itself. Many developments around the world, particularly in the Netherlands, include high quality cycling infrastructure to encourage sustainable mobility. More info on walking and cycling can be found here.
Healthcare
The mixed-use buildings will also include healthcare provision (including GPs and dentist practices for example) located on the ground floors.
Public spaces
A variety of public spaces to encourage socialisation will be built. Some of these will include green spaces. More info on these can be found here.
